We tell our kids that sharing is caring, and that, especially during the holiday season, it’s better to give than to receive. However, we might not spend enough time asking why we think and teach these things.
Is there any value to being a little bit selfish sometimes? What effect does being selfish/selfless have on ourselves, and on others? Can we still help others while looking out for ourselves too?
