Thank You, 2017, And Hello to 2018! A New Year’s Review

2016-10-01-10-13-45

Well, thinkers, was it a good one? Did you ask big questions? Were there lots of new ideas this year, and interesting people to share them with? Did you start and finish 2017 with curiosity and creativity?

Yup, us too! We’re so proud of what we accomplished here at Red T this year, and so happy that many thinkers, young and old, came along for the ride.

We made some pretty neat new stuff:

  • Wiseland, our cartoon-based gaming app that asks big questions and gives little thinkers all kinds of ways to explore answers.
  • Zoom In, Zoom Out, our new photo guessing-game, in both print and app format!
  • Get Wise, an app featuring a set of six amazing mini-games to help develop thinking skills!
  • An Etsy store, with cool gear to accompany our books and apps.

We went to some pretty interesting places:

  • South By Southwest in Austin Texas, to meet other big thinkers who are doing innovative things with interactive technology.
  • TIFF Kids in Toronto, to feast our eyes on the wonder that is kids’ media.
  • Word on the Street in Toronto, to meet with eager readers of all ages.
  • The first Canadian Women in STEM conference, to talk to great minds in science and technology.
  • Culture Days in Milton, with workshops for thinkers of all ages.
  • iVentures conference in Toronto, to find out who’s getting interactive in our home province.

We talked to some pretty interesting people:

Was it all fun? Oh, yeah! Are we out-of-our-minds-excited about our plans for 2018? You betcha! There are big plans in the works for new books, new apps, new resources for teachers and parents, new friends and collaborators, and lots of new adventures!

From the entire Red T team, an elephant-sized thank you to all the thinkers who’ve read, watched and played with our creations. We wish everyone a new year filled with big questions and great conversations. Happy 2018!
